CELIA is being released to the world!

After a three-year labour of love, Amanda's documentary about author, social advocate and world-class storyteller Celia Lashlie, is hitting the big screen!

The cinema feature documentary will tour the country as part of this year's New Zealand International Film Festival, starting with its world premiere at the Embassy in Wellington next month. It will then head to Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin and onto Timaru, Gore, Nelson, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Tauranga, Hawkes Bay, New Plymouth and Masterton. So many wonderful people have made this happen and we are so proud that CELIA will be launched in this way.

Now that Celia has left us, it doesn’t mean her dreams can’t come true
— Amanda Millar

Tickets and information can be found on the New Zealand International Film Festival's website. You may need to change the location at the top of the site, depending on what centre and screening you are after.

Celia is a cinema feature documentary that explores the life, death, work and vision of international author, social advocate and world-class storyteller, Celia Lashlie. When she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the end of 2014, Lashlie asked award-winning journalist Amanda Millar to film the final year of her life.
